Before delving into the lyrics of This Is Home, we need to acknowledge Cavetown's concomitant sexual orientation, as well as her views on romance. Because in addition to being transgender,he is toowhat is referred to as asexual and aromantic. That means he doesn't like sex - or even romance.

So when the artist explains at the beginning of the song that he can't fall in love, he means it more literally than most people who make such comments. But looking on the bright side of things, it also means he might not get his heart broken or have to deal with the other emotional dangers that come with being in love.
In fact, sentimentally, such an observation is more or less what this song is based on. That is, the artist realizes that he is an unconventional person. But instead of fighting his nature, he embraces it widely, or shall we say, tries to make the best out of whatever is happening to him internally and externally.
Furthermore, it appears, at least in some places in the lyrics, that he is appealing to a romantic interest.
Layout of Cavetowns
But despite all that, this isn't exactly the easiest song. Cavetown wrote it himself, very young and at a time when he was completely new to making music professionally. And sometimes his amateurism, by the way, is evident in the lyrics. But then again, we can still deduce a few things about your overall personal makeup.
For example, we might assume that he is suffering from some form of confusion or perhaps even more specifically depression. We know this because in the second verse he makes some references to death, as in Cavetown "sometimes he thinks he's dead".
This likely has something to do with the unconventional life path he has taken. For example, at the beginning of the verse he hints obliquely that maybe he doesn't really feel free to be himself.
That's to be expected from someone with your gender biases. And overall, this track seems to address the mental stress that accompanies it, which would logically be an integral part of its existence.
And not everything comes from internal sources. For example, Cavetown might make statements like "Receive a charge from this monster' from a third-person perspective. But he does so in the role of someone else making observations about himself.
These Lyrics Feelings
Or, more broadly, if we take a thesis out of this track, it wouldn't be so much that the singer feels depressed even when no one is around. Nor would some people perceive him as a weirdo. Rather, he would be more likely to get tired of these sensations. Or, to put it bluntly, the artist has also evidently grown tired – for lack of anything better – of the external pressure or hatred that seems to exist in his own head.
this is home
But other than that, he's not the type to run or hide from the situation. Instead, he closes the song with the eponymous statement that "Interestingly, he feels at home here."That doesn't mean he's really comfortable. That would contradict everything that had been expressed in the texts so far.
But, as mentioned earlier, he has achieved balance in life by being able to perceive the positive aspects of his lifestyle to counteract the negative aspects he inevitably faces."heim” despite all the outlined negativity that this entails.
Or maybe, for a little start, we should recognize that Cavetown is actually British. And this is a country that has a very strong and distinguished LGBT community. And the narrator knows that, even at a young age, this does not free him from the persecutions and internal pressures that people like him experience.heim', among his own kind, prevents him from going over the edge.
Or, more holistically, what he's saying overall is that he's gotten so used to feelings of internal and external arguments that he now feels like "heim’ so nothing unusual for him.

You should explain what some of the lyrics mean because I'm having trouble understanding what "turn off your china face" means.

Hey, so a few things -
Cavetown uses he/she pronouns, so you should use he/she pronouns and she/she pronouns interchangeably, like this: "He went to the stores, but they asked if you wanted anything while he." there was" etc.! And when you say someone is transgender, don't refer to them as "like transgender" but say they are "a transgender man/person/or other person". It's much more humane and respectful that way 🙂Responder

Heyyytyyyy btw, being asexual or aromantic doesn't mean someone doesn't have an interest in sex or romance. Being asexual means that you are not sexually attracted to anyone, and being aromantic means that you are not romantically attracted to anyone. This doesn't necessarily mean you don't want to have sex/romantic relationships, etc.
